No Increase In Gynecomastia Surgery Amongst Teenagers

The number of cosmetic surgeries performed rose in 2009 according to a new report by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, however, gynecomastia surgery amongst teenagers has not.

The good news is that despite the increase in cosmetic surgeries, the percentage of surgeries performed on people under the age of 18 has not risen in the last decade. Apparently there is no real increase in the most popular procedures performed on teenagers, including gynecomastia (removal of breast tissue in boys), chin augmentation, nose reshaping or rhinoplasty procedures, breast reductions, and corrections of breast asymmetry etc.
