Gynaecomastia Surgery On The NHS
A lot of men want to know if they can get gynecomastia surgery on the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.
The short answer is maybe but very rarely.
It involves going to your GP and talking to him/her about it first, and then asking for a referral to see a plastic surgeon. You’ll first have to prove you’ve tried exercise and lost weight if you are overweight. Once you get to see a plastic surgeon, you will be assessed by them for suitability and eligibility, and also be seen by a psychiatrist to see how badly this is affecting you in your daily life.
If you have tried all else then surgery could be the answer for you, but if you can’t get the cosmetic surgery on the NHS, it will cost you at least a couple of thousand pounds to go private.
